Chiropractic Adjustment

Chiropractic Adjustment

Also known as chiropractic manipulation, chiropractic adjustment has the purpose of reducing lower back pain, as well as increasing range of motion, alleviating nerve inflammation and enhancing the function of the spine. There are numerous types of chiropractic manipulation which are available at the moment, each suitable for a particular case of lower back pain. However, only 8 to 10 will be applied to each patient.

Perhaps the most common chiropractic manipulation approach is high-velocity low-amplitude thrust, which involves the chiropractor applying a firm and sudden pressure to the problematic joint. This will cause a “pop”, meaning that gases such as oxygen, nitrogen and carbon dioxide have been released from the joint. In general, 6 to 10 sessions are necessary for a patient to feel complete pain relief.
